Prepare the roof surface for the rubber roof application by cleaning it first. Sweep your flat roof with a utility broom and dustpan to remove debris. If the roof is wet, allow it to air-dry completely.
Start at one edge of your flat roof and begin to roll out the rubber sheeting to cover the entire rooftop surface, ensuring the edges extend up the outer sides of the roof by two to three inches. Let the rubber sheeting sit for 30 minutes to relax into the roof's surface.
Determine what portion of the flat roof you want to work with first. Fold the rubber sheeting back onto itself to expose that area.
Apply liquid rubber roof adhesive to a paint roller with an extension pole. Spread the adhesive over the exposed roof surface with the paint roller, applying more glue as needed to cover the surface. Apply the sticky adhesive to the portion of folded rubber sheeting that will cover the surface.
Unforld the rubber sheeting and lay it onto the adhesive-covered surface. Use your hands to smooth the surface, starting away from the roof's edge and smoothing outward. Work quickly but carefully to ensure you smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles in the rubber sheeting.
Repeat Steps 3 through 5 for any remaining portions of rubber sheeting that need to be adhered to the roof surface.
