Troubleshooting an Aqua-Aire Water System Tank

The Aqua-Aire water system tank is part of a wastewater treatment plant system and is a commercial-grade water tank that is similar to a large-scale sewage treatment plant. The sewage is moved through an aeration sludge process in which the wastewater is mixed with air to grow aerobic organisms. This causes the settling of the solid material while the liquid separates and flows out of the exit pipe. Troubleshooting the Aqua-Aire system tank should only be done by someone familiar with the equipment.

Instructions

    • 1

Look at the associated circuit breaker to see whether the breaker needs to be replaced if the Aqua-Aire warning light is lit or the alarm is sounding. The circuit should be closed.

    • 2

Turn off the main power switch and remove the air filter from the aerator compressor on a regular basis and rinse with warm water.

    • 3

Air dry the filter and install the filter back on the aerator compressor before turning on the Aqua-Aire tank.

    • 4

Open the main access panel on the tank and smell the liquid inside. Contact Aqua-Aire for service if the liquid inside the tank has an offensive odor, as this indicates a service issue.
