How to Adjust a Gerber Tub Drain

Gerber manufactures and sells a variety of plumbing products, including tub drains. If you notice that water isn’t properly draining in your tub, you may need to adjust the drain. Looseness or large amounts of rust in the drain are indications that the drain isn’t correctly fitted. A few common household items can be used to adjust a Gerber tub drain yourself.

  • Putty
  • Screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Moistened cloth

Instructions

      Pull the stopper out.

      Remove the drain lift by rotating it counterclockwise.

      Remove the screws of the drain flange using a screwdriver.

      Pull the drain flange out using a pair of pliers.

      Place putty around the opening of the drain.

    • 6

      Reset the drain flange to the desired position.

      Place the drain lift over the drain and secure into place using the screws.

      Remove excess putty that may have seeped out of the drain using a putty knife, if dry, or moistened cloth, if still wet.

      Place the stopper in the drain.
