How to Remove a Shower Boom

The shower head in your shower connects to the water supply pipe through a shower arm. The shower arm is bent downward and is threaded onto the copper piping in the wall behind the shower. When installing a new shower head, you sometimes need to remove the arm, also known as the shower boom. Be careful when removing the shower arm to avoid damaging the copper pipe.
