Determine the configuration of the pipe manifold system to establish the points of connection between the main pipe and the lateral pipes. This may vary depending on the type of pipe and its purported use.
Measure the lengths of the main pipe as well as the pipe manifold. The manifold length is measured from the main/manifold connection to the end of the pipe manifold.
Determine the diameter of the main pipe or trunk, and the studs or the pipe manifolds. The main pipe and manifold may have the same diameter if you want to maintain the same pressure and rate of flow of the liquid. This may be seen in most waste water distribution plants. The diameter may, however, vary if you want to increase or decrease the rate of flow and pressure in the pipe manifold.
Assemble the pipe system using the appropriate "L" and "T" joints. Ensure that the pipes are fixed properly.
