Set the marine galley sink within the opening in the galley. Adjust the size of the opening with a saw until the sink fits within the opening snugly.
Turn off the water main to the galley. Position the hot and cold input pipes within the hot and cold inputs on the marine sink. Sand the portions of the pipes that contact each other. Apply an appropriate type of pipe cement for the types of pipe and pipe fitting in the sink, such as metal or plastic, or a pipe cement that is designed to be used with both materials if different materials meet each other in the fitting.
Slide a pipe connector between the two ends of the pipe and tighten it into place using a wrench or pipe wrench.
Sand the edges of the sink opening to prepare it for the caulking. Wipe the area clean and apply caulking in between the sink and the sink opening. Settle the sink completely into place. Wipe the excess caulking around the lip of the sink to make a waterproof barrier between the sink and the counter of the galley.
Attach the drain pipe of the galley sink using the same procedure as the hot and cold input pipes. Allow all of the pipe fittings to dry overnight before using the sink.
