Ridgid Drain Cleaners

Ridgid products, made by the Ridge Tool Co. at plants in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, include tools and equipment for professionals in industries such as construction and plumbing. Ridgid’s products include a line of professional-grade drain cleaning tools. The drain cleaning tools are used for unclogging home and commercial drain and sewer systems.
  1. Manual Tools

    • Ridgid’s line of hand tools include toilet augers and cable-line drain openers. The hand tools are operated by moving a steel cable through a drainpipe or toilet. Some hand tools have an attached hook to dislodge and retrieve an item in the drain that can’t be flushed through the system.

    Electric-Powered Machines

    • Some drainpipes require high-powered electrical equipment. Ridgid offers sink, drum, sectional and rodder machines designed to reach long distances in drain systems. Some of the electric-powered machines are used in large-diameter drain and sewer systems. Drain-cleaning machines come in a range of line sizes, ranging from ¾ inch to 24 inches, to accommodate different drainpipe diameters.

    Water-Jetting Machines

    • Water-jetting machines are used to clean drainpipes. The machines clean drain pipes ranging from 1 ¼ inches to 10 inches in diameter. Water-jetting machines have a high-powered water sprayer that is self-propelled. The sprayer projects water out off the front and sides of the sprayer for cleaning. A ring of high-pressure water is released at the back of the sprayer to move through a drainpipe or sewage system.

    Pumps

    • Three types of pumps are available from Ridgid: sump, utility and sewage pumps. The pumps clear drain, sewer and waterways to avoid flooding. Each of the pumps has different capacity levels to handle small and large pumping requirements. The capacity level of each pump is rated by the amount of gallons the pump moves per hour.
