How do I Install an American Standard Neo Angle Shower Door Enclosure?

Mark the shower base for the sill. Lay the sill on top of the shower base so it is 3/4-inch from the outside edge of the base. Lightly trace the pattern of the sill onto the base.

Align the wall jambs with the sill. Hold a wall jamb against the shower wall at one end of the sill. Hold the level against it and adjust until it is plumb. Trace the four screw holes onto the shower wall. Repeat this with the remaining wall jamb on the other end of the sill.

Install the wall jambs. Drill a hole in each of the circles drawn on the shower walls with a 3/16-inch drill bit. Insert the wall anchors and install the wall jambs with eight 1-inch screws.

Secure the sill to the shower base. Lightly sand the area between the lines on the base with 100-grit sandpaper. Insert one of the pivot pins for the door in the second hole from the angle defining the door opening. Leave 5/8-inch sticking up. Turn the sill over, put some caulk in the lower channel and set it in place.

Insert the locator pins in both glass panels. Grasp the hollow post of the glass panels and set the opposite side on the floor. Tap a 3/4-inch locator pin in the hole provided in both ends of the hollow post with a hammer. Leave 1/4-inch sticking out.

Affix both panels through the flanges. Apply a bead of caulk along the outer edge of the sill. Set the panel in place so the locator pin is in the hole in the sill. Drill 1/8-inch pilot holes into the sill where the screw holes are in the flange. Secure it with eight 3/8-inch pan head screws.

Install the threshold and the latch bar. Apply clear silicone to the grooved side of the threshold and secure it to the sill. Hold the latch bar against the post opposite the pivot pin with the magnetic strip facing out. Drill 1/8-inch pilot holes where the screw holes are, and secure it to the post with eight 3/8-inch pan head screws.

Set the header and the door. Insert the remaining pivot pin in the appropriate hole in the header. Insert the shoulder bushings in the top and bottom of the door. Put two nylon washers over the pivot pin in the sill. Lower the shoulder bushing onto it and pull the door closed. Put two nylon washers on the pivot pin in the header and lower it onto the enclosure aligning the locator pins and the pivot pin. Secure the header through the flanges as you did the sill.
