LP siding is a building material manufactured by Louisiana-Pacific. This particular siding is an engineered surface composed of wood particles bound together by a resin. If you would like to finish your LP siding with deck paint, you can, because deck paint is a durable acrylic, well-suited for exterior conditions. Unfortunately, like other brands of engineered wood paneling, LP siding is ill-suited for paint adhesion. Combat this potential dilemma by pre-treating the siding with a particular type of primer. Apply each coating in a particular manner, using the right tools, or the final finish could end up flawed.
