Instructions

    • 1

Add equal parts of washing soda, flour and boiling water to a bucket. Use a wooden paint stirrer to thoroughly combine the ingredients. You can find washing soda in the laundry aisle of your grocery store.

    • 2

Put on rubber gloves and use an old paintbrush to apply the paint remover. Allow the remover to stand for at least 30 minutes to work on the paint.

    • 3

Scrub the painted item with a stiff-bristled brush to remove the paint remover and the loosened paint.

    • 4

Wipe the piece down with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water on a towel or rag. The vinegar helps neutralize the acidic properties of the washing soda.
