Prepare the vinyl siding for painting. Use soap and water to remove all dirt and debris from the siding and rinse thoroughly. Let the vinyl siding dry completely before painting. You can also use a pressure washer to clean your vinyl siding. However, drying time will take longer as water tends to get into the siding.
Paint your vinyl siding by hand or using an airless sprayer. A brush or roller will not apply paint as evenly as an airless spray. Brushes and rollers are best for other surfaces, not for vinyl siding. Hold the nozzle of the airless sprayer 6 inches away from the vinyl siding. The nozzle should be perpendicular to the siding. Use short, narrow sprays of paint to paint the siding. Work side to side, not up and down. Allow the paint to dry.
Apply a second coat of paint and allow it to dry.
