How to Troubleshoot a Magnum XR7

Magnum XR7 is a portable, airless spray painting device for use by maintenance painters, property owners or general contractors with moderate or monthly painting needs. The XR7 provides 15 percent more output than the older, Magnum XR5. A key feature of the XR7 is its simplicity of use and ease of cleaning. However, there are some quick and simple checks that can be done to ensure optimum performance by the XR7.

Instructions

    • 1

Check that the unit is properly plugged into an outlet and that the power source is fully functional.

    • 2

Examine all fluid connections to ensure there is no leakage from the "Spray/Prime Valve," the "Metal Spray Gun" or the hose connecting the gun to the paint pail.

    • 3

Inspect the "Metal Spray Gun" to make sure the trigger safety is unlocked and that the unit itself isn't plugged and it's properly clean.
