Remove the couch cushions to reveal the webbing. The webbing is attached to a wooden frame, which you should also be able to access.
Remove the staples that hold the old webbing in place. Remove the woven webbing and pull each piece of webbing apart.
Cut strips of webbing 1 foot longer than the old webbing strips. Half of the strips will be long and will stretch over the length of the couch and the other half will be short.
Lay the shorter webbing strips in the same place as the old strips.
Fold 1 inch of one end of the webbing under itself and staple it to the back of the couch frame. Angle the staples into the couch for added support.
Stretch the webbing across the couch and attach it to the teeth of a webbing stretcher. Hold the handle of the stretcher vertically.
Press the handle down so that it is parallel to the couch webbing. This will stretch the webbing.
Staple the webbing to the top of the front of the couch frame. Angle the staples away from the couch for added support. Fold 1 inch of webbing over the top and staple it again. Cut off any excess webbing.
Repeat the process with the rest of short pieces of webbing.
Repeat the entire process with the longer pieces of webbing, but weave the webbing over and under the short webbing pieces. Alternate weaving so that if the first piece goes under, over, under, the next piece of webbing will go over, under, over.
Replace the couch cushions when you are finished.
