Instructions

    • 1

Clean the area thoroughly with a high-quality stainless steel cleaner. Follow up by applying a high-quality stainless steel polish. Rub the polish into the appliance with a soft cloth, moving in the direction of the grain. Cleaning and polishing may lighten the scratches or blend them in enough that they are unnoticeable.

    • 2

Sprinkle bleach-free powdered cleanser onto a damp, nonmetallic abrasive scrubbing pad. You can find these cleansers in the cleaning aisle at most supermarkets or home improvement centers.

    • 3

Scrub the scratched area of the appliance with the scrubbing pad. Use long, even strokes, and rub in the same direction as the polishing lines in the stainless steel. Continue rubbing until the scratches are gone.

    • 4

Rinse the appliance thoroughly with water and a damp rag. Clean again with a stainless steel cleaner to remove any residue.
