Instructions

    • 1

Apply the glass etching compound thinly on the glass lens. Wear protective gloves when handling the glass etching compound, as it can be a skin irritant. Let the compound sit on the glass for about 10 minutes. Refer to the etching compound's labeling for the recommended time to wait.

    • 2

Submerge the lens in warm water, washing off the etching compound. Make sure you remove all compound. Check if the compound residue is still in the edges of the lens and the rims of the frames.

    • 3

Apply metal polish to both sides of the lens. Rub it into the glass with a microfiber cloth. Wash the lens off with warm water to remove the remaining metal polish.

    • 4

Apply car wax on the surface of the lens. Rub the wax into the scratches with your finger. Apply a small amount of pressure to force the wax deep in the scratches.

    • 5

Buff out the wax on the lens with a clean microfiber cloth until the lens shines. Repeat steps 4 and 5 if you can still see the scratches.
