Removing Drawers From KraftMaid Cabinets

KraftMaid cabinets come with drawers installed onto tracks that allow you to pull the drawer out to access what’s inside and then push it back into the cabinet when done. Remove the drawers in the KitchenMaid cabinets at any time by using the release clips to displace the drawer from the tracks. You may find that you need to remove a drawer from the cabinet if there is an item stuck in the back of the drawer, or it becomes misaligned on its track.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the KraftMaid cabinet drawer that you want to remove all the way out until it stops.

    • 2

Look beneath the drawer to find the tracks the drawer slides on and locate the orange clips on the tracks.

    • 3

Push the orange clips in to release the drawer fully from the tracks.

    • 4

Pull the drawer all the way towards yourself to make it slide off the tracks and remove it from the cabinet.

    • 5

Push the tracking back in. Inspect the drawer to see if it has any damage or needs to be repaired.

    • 6

Slide the drawer back into the cabinet lifting up slightly on the front of the drawer as you align the wheels on the tracks. The drawer will then lock in with the orange tabs.
