Wipe down the entire surface with a dry cloth to remove lingering grime and cleaning product.
Spray the leather with a carefully applied mist of the recoloring dye to avoid any runs or puddles.
Smooth out the product into a thin, even layer with a sponge. Allow it to dry for 15 minutes or as directed on the label.
Add additional layers of the dye until the desired shade is reached, letting each layer dry for 15 minutes before adding more product.
Wait several hours for the leather dye to completely set.
Apply leather conditioning cream to the surface of the recolored leather to replenish moisture in the leather. This prevents the leather from getting dehydrated, which could cause cracking and tears in the colored leather.
