Lay a cloth down on the bathroom floor. Turn the toilet upside down and place it on the cloth.
Find the opening on the Brownstoner toilet's bottom. This area is called the horn. Apply the wax ring that comes with the toilet, ensuring that the rounded edge of the wax ring faces toward the bowl. Press the ring against the bowl until it sticks securely in place.
Turn the Brownstoner toilet back over. On the floor where you are installing the toilet, look for two Johnny bolts extending upward. The back of the toilet will need to be parallel with an imaginary line drawn horizontally between these two bolts, so lay the base of the toilet down over the bolts and onto the floor in a manner that fulfills this requirement. The bolts go up through the holes on the base of the Brownstoner toilet.
Place the included washers and nuts over the bolts. Tighten them down with a wrench.
Lift the tank section of the toilet bowl. Align the plastic bolts on its base with the holes on the top of the Brownstoner toilet's bowl section that you have just installed. Lower the tank onto the bowl.
Tighten the screws on the bottom of the tank, using a Phillips screwdriver.
Connect the water supply valve to the Brownstoner toilet's tank via the hose line. Screw the hose line into place and tighten its coupling with a socket wrench.
Find the water supply valve on the rear base of the Brownstoner toilet. Turn the valve counterclockwise to open it and allow water to flow to the toilet.
