Decide what area in your home and which wall you want to rag paint.
Choose an interior color or colors that you would like the rag painted wall to be. Also, choose a base coat for the wall in a color of your choice.
Paint the wall with the base coat that you chose and allow it to completely dry.
Moisten a clean rag with the interior paint. Wring out the rag so that it is not dripping paint but is still wet.
Bunch the rag up loosely to begin painting. Dab the rag onto the wall that you are rag painting. You can rotate the rag and bunch it again to get different types of patterns on the wall.
Dab the rag into the corners of the wall as far as possible, being careful not to get the rag paint on the adjacent wall. Use an artist's brush with fine bristles to dab dots in areas of the corners that the rag cannot reach. The dots will blend with the rest of the rag painted wall.
Allow the rag painted wall to dry, then repeat the rag painting process with as many colors as you would like to have on your wall. The most dominant color should be applied last
