Instructions

    • 1

Remove all of the furniture from the room where there is lead paint.

    • 2

Apply non-flammable solvent or abrasive compound to a small area of the wall with a damp cloth to loosen the paint. Follow the specific instructions on the solvent or abrasive, as different products have different instructions.

Scrape the paint off with a wire brush. Brush in circular motions and take extra care around the edges of the walls to make sure you remove all of the lead paint.

    • 5

Bag all of the paint in doubled plastic trash bags to discard. Clean all the surfaces with wet paper towels. Wet mop the floor. Use an HEPA-equiped vacuum on everything in the room.
