Scrape away the loose stucco with the drywall knife. Only pry away the stucco that is loose and avoid breaking off any additional stucco.

    • 3

Brush the edges of the stucco with the wire brush so new stucco will properly adhere.

    • 4

Moisten the area that you are going to repair with water so that it is slightly damp to the touch.

    • 5

Hold the hawk in your non dominant hand and scoop the pre-mixed stucco onto the hawk with the steel trowel. The hawk is a flat board with a small handle for holding stucco material easily in one hand when applying.

    • 6

Scoop the stucco onto the wall and spread it evenly so the repair is even with the existing stucco.

    • 7

Add texture to the stucco by blotching it with the damp sponge. You can paint the stucco after is has cured for one week.
