How to Dissolve Paint Off Floor Registers

Whether you’re redecorating your house and need to repaint your floor registers to match, or you didn't cover your floors properly and you have unsightly paint splatters on your registers, that old paint has to come off. Thankfully, there are methods of dissolving, or stripping paint that don’t require toxic chemicals, rubber gloves and protective face masks. With a little baking soda and water, along with some patience, you can remove the paint from your floor registers so they can be repainted or left bare.

Scrub at any remaining paint with steel wool until it's fully removed. Re-soak any stubborn areas as needed.
