Measure the width and height of the windows you plan to cover with the panels. The panel should overlap the top and side of each window opening by 3 inches. For example, if the window opening is 25 inches wide and 25 inches high, the panel should be 28 inches high by 28 inches wide.
Start at the top left side of the panel and measure in 1 1/2 inch from the edge of the side of the panel and 1 1/2 inch down from the top of the panel and make a mark. Drill a 1/4-inch hole. Measure 1 1/2 inch in from the side of the panel and 8 inches down from the first hole and make a mark. Drill a 1/4-inch hole. Continue drilling holes around the entire panel using those measurements. Repeat this procedure for all panels.
Hold the panel over the window and mark the location of each hole on the exterior wall of the house with the marker. Drill a 1/4-inch hole 2 inches deep. Clean out the hole with compressed air. Fill the hole with epoxy and screw in the anchor. Repeat this procedure for all windows.
Deploy the panels by sliding them over the protruding anchors and secure them with the wing nuts.
