The Best Betco Floor Finishes

Betco Innovative Cleaning Technologies manufactures commercial equipment and cleaning chemicals such as floor strippers, finishers and maintainers. The best Betco floor finish line depends on your desired outcome, such as highest gloss, lowest maintenance, quickest application or most environmentally safe.
  1. Most Environmentally Safe

    • Betco's Green Earth line, which includes floor finishers, strippers, sealers and cleaners, is free of all chemical odors and Green Seal-certified. A Green Seal certification, created by the Green Seal non-profit organization, indicates that the product is sustainable and safe for the environment. Green Earth finishes use an extended-wear formula that provides a strong burnish response. The downside is the frequent need for maintenance; floors with a Green Earth finish require five burnishes per week.

    Lowest Maintenance

    • All Betco floor finishes require a minimum of up to one burnish per week. The performance quality of the finish increases with each additional weekly burnish. Betco's lowest maintenance finishes include Finish 101; Hard as Nails; Untouchable and BetcoBest LM. The maintenance requirement for each line is low to medium, or less than one to three burnishes per week. Other Betco finishes require up to five burnishes per week.

    Fastest Drying, Hardest and Glossiest

    • Betco Express dries the fastest out of Betco's floor finish line. A Betco Express finish dries in five to 10 minutes, or up to six coat applications per hour. The Hard as Nails line provides the hardest, non-scuffing finish, while Betco's glossiest floor finish is Hybrid, which offers an even coat, the longest lasting shine and an extended wear. Other high-gloss lines include Glare, Hi-Tech and Photon Max. Consider Betco's Matte Finish line for a low-gloss alternative.

    Least Coats

    • Betco floor finishes may be applied to both stripped wood and top scrub floors. BestcoBest LM requires the least amount of coats on stripped wood, or three coats compared to the rest of the Betco line, which requires four to six. Betco's Finish 101, Untouchable, BetcoBest LM and Hybrid lines require the least amount of coats on top scrub floors, or one to two coats compared to the standard two to three for the rest of the line.
