Instructions

Silence squeaking hinges with a quick spray of silicon lubricant directly on to the affected part. Open and close the compartment a few times to work the product in. Silicon based lubricants do not attract dirt like conventional oils and should prevent the hinges becoming gummed up if they are located on the floor.

Tighten loose hinges or latch screws with a screwdriver if the door wobbles or feels hard to close. Frequent use over a long period causes screws to work loose and latches to strike off target. If the latch is difficult to engage, spray a little silicon lubricant onto the strike.

Clean up dirty hinges and latches with an old toothbrush and some warm, soapy water. If you've used oil-based lubricants in the past it's possible the hinges have become clogged up. If the locks become hard to operate, spray a little graphite powder, available from most hardware stores, into the keyhole.
