Measure the available space behind the bar with a tape measure so you know what size fridge you need. A space near the sink is often convenient; inside a cabinet is another option if a cabinet is available. If there isn't much room under the bar, consider a smaller fridge that sits up on top of it.
Locate the nearest electrical outlet. The nearest outlet's location also plays an important role in deciding where to place the fridge.
Slide the fridge into its position under or behind the bar. Connect an extension cord if you need to in order to reach the nearest outlet. If the fridge is on top of the bar, place a towel or pad under it so the bar isn't scratched.
Drill a hole through the cabinet, wall or woodwork near the fridge if necessary to run the power cable through so it is not in the way behind the bar. Run the power through the cabinet or the wall to the outlet. Drill another hole next to the outlet and pull the plug back out so you can insert it into the outlet. If a power cable has to be visible behind the bar, tape it to the base of the bar with duct tape so it is out of the way.
Fill the fridge with beverages you want chilled. If your fridge has a freezer compartment, fill it with ice cube trays or stuff a bag of ice into it so you have ice ready when needed.
