The cycling of a furnace is controlled by the temperature of the thermostat. When the furnace is set to a temperature below the room temperature, the furnace cycles on until the desired room temperature is achieved. When the furnace is set to a temperature above the room temperature, the furnace automatically cycles off. Cycle your furnace on and off to ensure it is properly cycling at the desired temperatures.
