How to Connect the Parts on a Ninja Extractor

The Century 400 Ninja portable extractor is a high-pressure industrial carpet cleaner typically used in hotels, hospitals, offices and other large facilities. Cleaning wands and similar tools connect to the extractor by means of a solution hose that forces cleaning liquid into the carpet and a corrugated vacuum hose that sucks the dirt-laden liquid into a recovery tank. All Ninja models use standard hose fittings.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug the extractor's three-pronged power cord into a grounded outlet. Turn the vacuum motor on to confirm that the machine has power. Turn the motor off before proceeding.

    • 2

Attach the 1 1/2-inch vacuum hose to the extractor by sliding the hose’s swivel cuff over the extractor’s vacuum hookup until it locks in place. On older models, the vacuum hookup is at the top of the extractor. On Ninja Warrior models, it’s at the top left of the control panel.

    • 3

Attach the other end of the vacuum hose to the matching hookup on the cleaning wand.

    • 4

Attach the 1/4-inch solution hose to the extractor. Pull back the brass quick-connect collar on the extractor’s solution hookup and insert the hose’s male connector until it locks in place. On older models, the solution hookup is on the front of the extractor at the bottom right. On Ninja Warrior models, it’s at the bottom left of the control panel.
