Lay the liner over the shower floor area. Spread the liner up and across the walls and over the curb of the shower, so all three walls and the curb are covered by the liner. Position the liner so at least one foot of each wall is covered.
Tuck and fold the liner at the corners so there is no additional material at the corners. Folding the liner back and under is the best approach here. Tack the liner to the wall with a small hammer and tack nails, or a heavy duty stapler. Repeat the tuck and fold process at each corner. Flatten and staple the liner along the walls adding a staple at each framing board.
Smooth the liner over the shower curb. Staple the liner to the curb with the stapler once it is properly fitted. Cut the liner at the bottom of the outside of the shower curb to remove excess material; do so by running a razor across the surface of the liner.
Cut through the liner at the drain with the razor. Run silicone caulk around the bottom of the drain's top half (shower drains have two parts, a top and bottom). Fasten the drain's top to the bottom portion of the drain, which is installed in the shower floor. Tighten the drain hardware with a wrench and let the silicone dry.
