How to Adjust a Liberty Cabinet Partial Overlay Hinge

Liberty Cabinets Inc. makes custom and prefabricated cabinets for kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms. Many Liberty cabinets have overlay hinges. Overlay hinges, also known as Euro hinges, are designed to hide behind the cabinet door, giving the cabinet system a sleeker and more contemporary look. Overlay hinges are adjustable. With the turn of screw, the hinge will move the Liberty cabinet door to the left or right side, in or out, and up and down.

Instructions

Open the Liberty cabinet door and look for the overlay hinges. The portion of the hinge connected to the inside of the cabinet, not the door, contains adjustment screws which allow you to reposition the door.

    • 2

Adjust the very top screw on the inner cabinet hinge with the screwdriver to move the Liberty cabinet door up. Adjust the very bottom screw on the same hinge to move the door down.

    • 3

Turn the left-middle adjustment screw clockwise with a screwdriver to move the cabinet door to the right. Turn it counterclockwise to move the door to the left.

    • 4

Insert the screwdriver into the right-middle screw and turn the screw clockwise to move the Liberty cabinet door closer to the cabinet, and turn it counterclockwise to move it away from the cabinet.

    • 5

Turn the screws on the cabinet door hinge clockwise to tighten them to the door if loose.
