Once you've installed a new P-trap beneath your shower unit, you'll want to make sure it's working properly before you reseal your shower's tray. If you put your unit back together before checking your P-trap, you'll have to take your shower unit apart again if you identify a leak or blockage later. This will be particularly frustrating if you need to remove tile courses or carry out any other destructive work to gain access to your trap.
