The Craftsman brand name is one of the more well-known sold at Sears stores, with a product line that includes all manner of tools and power equipment. The Craftsman 33-gallon air compressor is designed to add power to various tools through an air hose. When in use, the pump compresses air and discharges it into the tank so it can be sent through the hose and to the tool for use. Instructions

    • 1

Position the pump side of the compressor at least 12 inches away from the wall or other obstructions in a well-ventilated and clean area during use. This ensures proper air flow and cooling of the unit.

    • 2

Set a level on top of the compressor, before you start, to ensure it’s level so the moisture will drain from the tank properly.

    • 3

Move the pressure switch to the "Off" position, turn the tank petcock in a clockwise direction to close it then plug in the power cord on the compressor start up each day.

    • 4

Set the pressure switch to the "Auto" position and adjust the regulator so it matches the working pressure of whatever tool you’re using.

    • 5

Move the pressure switch to the "Off" position, unplug the cord and reduce the tank pressure via the outlet hose when you want to shut the compressor down. Turn the petcock counterclockwise to open it so moisture can drain out. Wear safety goggles as you open the petcock.
