How to Adjust an Arrow Swing Shower Door

Arrow swing shower doors pivot instead of slide. The door opens out and away from the shower’s frame. Over time, the door may begin to slide around causing it to drift up or down, or slant, which may cause water to leak out from the shower. When the door shifts, it can cause the glass to break if the door is not closing properly or if it becomes loose from the hinges. You can adjust the door to fit and function properly.

Instructions

    • 1

Have a helper hold the shower door throughout the adjustment.

    • 2

Insert a Phillips screwdriver into the adjusting screws on the door’s hinges and loosen the screws. Turn the screws counter-clockwise to loosen them.

    • 3

Lift the door up or lower the door down until it fits the frame appropriately. Make sure there is no gap along the bottom of the door and the shower floor.

    • 4

Guide the door to the left or the right until it is even and will close properly.

    • 5

Stand back and look at the door to ensure it is properly adjusted. Make any further adjustments to the door, if necessary.

    • 6

Tighten the adjustment screws with the screwdriver once the door closes appropriately and appears flush with the shower’s frame.
