How to Reglaze Epoxy Bathroom Tiles

Bathroom tiles grouted with epoxy can become weathered and can peel up if the tiles and epoxy are not sealed properly. Professional tilers and craftsmen can seal the epoxy bathroom tiles using tiling glaze, but hiring a professional may not be in your budget. Save money by reglazing the epoxy bathroom tiles yourself using a few basic materials and tools purchased inexpensively from any hardware supply store. This enables you to save your flooring and your pocketbook at the same time.

Instructions

    • 1

Sand the entire epoxy tiled floor using a sanding buffer with a fine-grit sanding ring. This removes any debris and residue from the tiles and epoxy grouting.

    • 2

Vacuum the entire floor and surrounding areas using a shop vacuum.

    • 3

Fill a paint tray with glossy tile sealant, then coat a long-handled paint roller in the sealant.

    • 4

Roll the sealant in an even layer over the entire epoxy tiled floor; allow the sealant to dry for 18 to 24 hours.

    • 5

Apply a second layer of sealant in the same manner as before, and allow the sealant to dry for an additional 18 to 24 hours.
