How to Repair a Concrete Wall Bowing

A bowing concrete wall shows cracks along its exterior. You can shore up these cracks with a hammer, nails and an epoxy kit that will refill the cracks and fix the problem. Repairing your wall will not require professional assistance, although it is a week-long process because of the drying time involved. This project cannot be accomplished in a short time.

Instructions

    • 1

Use a hammer to insert finishing nails into the wall along the crack that has appeared.

    • 2

Use an epoxy injection kit to make repairs. Begin by mixing the epoxy solution. Follow the instructions that come with your kit.

    • 3

Apply the epoxy mixture to the kit's injection ports. Ensure you apply it to the bottom of the ports.

    • 4

Place the injection ports over each nail. Ensure they are snug over the nail and are inserted into the wall's crack.

    • 5

Use a putty knife to apply the remaining epoxy along the wall's crack. It should be spread roughly 1/8-inch thick, and must be allowed to dry at least 10 hours.

    • 6

Slide the kit's epoxy cartridge into a caulking gun.

    • 7

Fill the injection ports with epoxy directly through the use of your caulking gun.

    • 8

      Allow five days for drying.

    • 9

Use a saw to remove the ends of the injection ports so that the remaining ports are flush with the wall.

    • 10

Use wall sealer to cover over the ports for aesthetic purposes.
