How To Keep a Motorhome Window from Frosting Over

Car windows and motor home windows naturally frost over when cold weather hits. On the front windows of any vehicle, this is a safety hazard. Scraping the frost off is only one option after the fact, but there is an easy way to prevent the frost to begin with. The key is to use a substance, such as rubbing alcohol, that has a low freezing point.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 quart water
  • 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
  • Rubber gloves
  • Safety glasses
  • Bucket
  • Cloth
  • Antifreeze (optional)

Instructions

    • 1

Put on rubber gloves and safety glasses. Mix a half-cup of rubbing alcohol with 1 quart of water in a clean bucket.

    • 2

Dip a clean cloth into the alcohol-and-water solution. Rub the solution on the exterior and interior sides of your motor home's windows.

    • 3

Reapply the solution whenever the windows start to frost.
