Instructions for a Hempe Drill Bit Jig

Adjust the depth collar on the drill bit by placing the bit into the depth setting gauge in the drill bit jig. Push down on the bit step as far forward as possible then move the depth collar along the bit shank. Lock the depth collar with an Allen wrench so the marking on the depth collar matches the material's thickness.

Set the positioning slider on each side of the jig by pressing down on the slider and moving it up or down until the mark that corresponds with the material's thickness matches the arrows on the bottom of the jig.

Tighten the jig clamp until the jig is firmly positioned onto the drilling surface.

Place the drill tip approximately 1 inch inside the jig drill guide then start the drill. Push the drill bit firmly and evenly into the cutting surface.
