How to Finish a Stone Fireplace

A fireplace is a gift for any home, and a stone fireplace is a true enhancement of that gift. A stone fireplace not only gives you the warmth and comfort of a real fire in your home, but the rustic quality of the stones give you a palpable sense of bringing the outdoors inside. Before you enjoy your stone fireplace, you really need to apply a finish to the stones. A finish protects the stones from the heat and ash coming from the fireplace and gives them a glossy finish.
