How to Install a Coleman Presidential II Pressure Switch

A furnace's pressure switch is a safety device that gauges whether the exhaust vent has the correct pressure before starting the furnace. The pressure switch reduces the likelihood of combustion products making it into the living environment due to vent back-drafting. A faulty pressure switch leaves your home without heat and should be fixed quickly to a cold house which can lead to freezing and damaging the building's water pipes. Replacing the pressure switch with the proper part assures it works properly with your furnace.
