Attach a hose to the water outlet spout on your boiler. Aim the other end of the hose toward a drain.
Drain the same amount of water that is inside the bottle of your cleaner. Use the quantity table on the side of the bottle to figure out the quantity of cleaner needed for your size tank.
Lower the pressure of the unit by turning the pressure valve handle.
Unscrew the air gap cap. Pour the required quantity of cleaner through the opening in the top of your tank.
Allow the cleaner to circulate through the system at 160 to 175 degrees for two to four hours. Drain the unit through the hose, and add water to flush out the system. Fire the rinse water for 30 minutes at 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Refill the heater to the proper level.
