How to Wire a Taco HVAC

Taco is a leading manufacturer in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, producing pumps, controls and system components that are installed in many homes and businesses. Owners must wire Taco HVAC systems properly to achieve high-quality performance and efficient operation. Wiring the system involves connecting a transformer to the three terminals on the Taco zone valve.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect one terminal of a 24-volt, 40VA transformer to one side of the thermostat. Connect the other side of the thermostat to one of the three terminals of the zone valve.

    • 2

Connect the second of the three terminals of the zone valve to the other terminal of the 24-volt, 40VA transformer.

    • 3

Connect a wire from the second terminal on the zone valve to one of the T terminals on the boiler control. This connection activates the boiler control.
