Turn off the circuit breaker to the furnace. Remove the access door to the blower compartment on your furnace. Many access doors simply lift up and away from the unit while some models use screws to secure the access door. Use a nut driver or Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws.
Shine a flashlight into the the blower compartment so you are able to see the top of the blower motor. The motor might have a belt and set back away from the blower wheel or the motor might attach directly to the blower wheel.
Find one or two small ports on the top of the motor. Most motors will have rubber plugs on the ports. Clean the area around the ports with a rag and pull the plugs off the motor with your fingers.
Add two to three drops of oil to each port. Push the plugs back into the oil ports. Place the blower access door back onto your furnace and turn on the circuit breaker.
