Instructions

    • 1

Open your fuse box or circuit breaker panel to see if a fuse has blown or if you’ve tripped a circuit breaker that supplies the furnace if nothing happens when you adjust the temperature control switch. Replace the fuse with a new one or reset the circuit breaker, if necessary.

    • 2

Look at the setting that you’ve chosen on the thermostat to ensure it coincides with the temperature you want in the house if the blower won’t come on when you flip the switch.

    • 3

Shut off the electricity to the furnace and slide the filter out to inspect it if the furnace isn’t blowing clean air when the temperature control switch is on. Replace the filter with a new one, or knock any dust off then wash it with soapy water and let it dry if it is marked "washable."

Turn off the electricity to the furnace and unscrew the panels at the bottom of the cabinet if the temperature is always higher than you want it. Remove the panels and clean the dust and lint from the inside of the cabinet with a vacuum.
