Purchase a blower that is equipped to operate with the model of your wood stove. You may need to speak with a manufacturer's representative or wood stove installation technician to assist you in determining which blower to purchase.
Attach the guard to the blower if your blower did not come with the guard preinstalled. Follow the directions on the blower for exact details on installing the guard. Most guards are screwed into place on the front of the blower.
Scoot the wood stove away from the wall, if possible, to provide access to the back of the stove. If it is not possible, you will need to continue the installation from underneath the stove.
Adjust the blower underneath the stove so that it lines up to the back center area of the stove.
Screw in the holding brackets, which you can find on the top of the blower, into the screw holes on the back of your stove. If your stove does not have holes that can accommodate the blower, you may be able to leave the blower resting on the floor underneath the wood stove, but be sure to read the warning labels on the blower before attempting this.
Plug in the power cord from the blower into an electrical outlet, and then turn on the blower.
