How to Get Rid of Connecting Pieces to Vinyl Panel Walls

Vinyl wall panels are generally used as a covering to conceal wiring or cover damage in the actual walls. Vinyl paneling can even be used as a sound buffer. However, over time you may want to replace vinyl panels. In these instances you must remove the panel and what connects them to the wall.

Instructions

    • 1

Grip the vinyl paneling at the base, where it meets the vertical receiving track.

    • 2

Inch your way along the receiving track, pulling the paneling out as you go.

    • 3

Locate the receiving track on the opposite side of the panel. Pull the vinyl panel out of the receiving track the same way you did in step 1.

    • 4

Insert the tip of your flat-head screwdriver in the seam at the bottom of the panel.

    • 5

Pry out with the screwdriver to pop the rear fiberglass frame of the vinyl panel out of place.

    • 6

Pull the frame down and remove the vinyl panel.
