Clean out any debris or gunk that has collected on the unglued section of laminate using a scraper, such as a metal butter knife.
Heat an iron on a medium-high setting.
Press the iron on top of the laminate pieces so it reactivates the existing glue and cements the pieces together.
Check the laminate by trying to pull it up or move it. Allow it to cool once it is securely in place.
Scrape away any excess glue or debris that has formed on the underside of the laminate using a butter knife or other scraper.
Apply a thin line of contact cement on each side of the rough laminate.
Press the laminate in place and hold it while it dries. Use a clamp or weight to keep it in position. Allow it to cure according to the glue instructions before using it.
