Pick out any bits of wall protruding from the hole with your fingers.
Remove the square or circular-shaped wall patch from its adhesive and place it over the hole. Patches of different sizes are available at home improvement stores.
Dip your trowel in the drywall compound and smear it on the wall over the patch. Smooth the compound over the patch with the trowel.
Let the compound dry overnight.
Place a piece of 320-grit sandpaper over your sanding pad and sand the dried compound into the wall. Continue until the surface of the wall is smooth.
Paint over the surface of the wall with matching paint. Let the paint dry overnight.
Remove any blinds or curtains from the window frame covering the hole.
Cut the plastic tip off the end of your wood filler. This opens the tube.
Insert the tube’s tip into the hole and squeeze the wood filler into the hole. Wait 15 minutes for the wood filler to dry.
Sand the filled hole down with 320-grit sand paper until the area on the window frame is smooth. Wait two hours before painting.
