How to Change the Sprocket Assembly on My Garage Opener

Sprocket assemblies within garage door openers can become faulty and may need to be removed or replaced. The sprocket assembly is secured by numerous screws and is concealed by the protective cover on the unit. No professional garage door repair experience is necessary to change out a sprocket assembly. You only need a Phillips screwdriver to remove the cover and access the sprocket assembly.
