How to Change a Definitive Technology BP 2002 Grille Cloth

Definitive Technology BP 2002 home theater speakers come with a wraparound protective fabric cover to protect the fragile outer parts of the cones from damage. The covers can be removed to expose the front of the speaker, depending on your preference. You might need to remove and replace this piece if the fabric part of the grille gets ripped or damaged. This is a quick fix, provided you have the necessary replacement part.

• Replacement fabric grille
• Phillips screwdriver

     Turn the speaker around to access the rear panel. Remove the screws running up the sides of the rear panel and place them to one side.

   • 2

     Detach the fabric grille by pulling the sides outward and moving the piece forward. Slip the replacement fabric grille into position.

   • 3

     Replace the screws on the back panel to hold the new screen grille in place. Make sure the screw holes in the fabric grille are lined up before tightening.
