How to Change the Socket on a Craftsman Garage Light

If the light on your Craftsman garage door opener isn't working, and the light bulb is not the culprit, changing the light socket might be necessary. Over time and through use, the contacts inside the socket can become burned, rendering the light inoperable. Replacing the burned-out socket with a new one will allow the light to work as intended. The light socket on the Craftsman garage opener has been designed in a way in which no tools are needed to complete the task.
